I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Calgary and a Master's degree in Expressive Arts Therapy from the European Graduate School in Switzerland.
I have 19 years of experience with a variety of issues, including domestic violence, homelessness, anti-violence programs for youth, mental health, disabilities, and sexual and reproductive health.
It is important to me to continue learning, growing and healing. I participate in professional development, therapy, yoga, and art making of all kinds as needed. Self care is one of my priorities.
My Personal Style is:
I seek to be sensitive to diversity and aware of how our identities are affected by the intersectionality of culture, society, history, and access to privilege.
I believe that you are the expert on your lived experience; I am the companion and I will follow your lead.
Sometimes life is painful and there is no quick fix, yet I firmly believe we have the innate capacity to heal; insight is inside us always ready to be discovered. As our soul deepens to hold painful experiences, we gain the strength and ability to bounce back.
